Anna Lamonova

I completed a Specialization in General Medicine at the Izhevsk State Academy of Medicine, with my diploma officially homologated by the Colombian Ministry of Education, and completed my medical internship at the Izhevsk State Public Health Institution “Republican Clinical Hospital (Cardiocenter)”, where I gained solid clinical experience. In addition to my medical background, I have more than 20 years of experience teaching English and Mathematics at the primary and middle school levels in Colombia.

My teaching approach is student-centered and inclusive, emphasizing conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and real-life application. I use a variety of teaching methods, including inquiry-based learning, problem-based learning, guided practice, collaborative work, project-based activities, and formative assessment, as well as differentiated instruction and educational technology to support diverse learners. I have worked within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Cambridge programme, aligning curriculum goals and assessment criteria to foster academic growth and learner autonomy.

In terms of personal qualities, I am responsible, organized, and highly committed to continuous professional development. I am adaptable, empathetic, and patient, with strong communication skills that allow me to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families. I value teamwork, ethical practice, and cultural sensitivity, and I strive to create a safe, motivating, and respectful learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential. My academic foundation began with a B.A. High School diploma from Liceum No. 30, specializing in Natural Sciences and Humanities, with a focus on Chemistry and Biology, in Izhevsk, Russia.
