Teaching & Learning Methodology

My teaching methodology is student-centered, communicative, and goal-oriented. I believe that learning English should go beyond memorizing grammar rules and vocabulary. Students need opportunities to understand, practice, apply, and communicate what they learn in meaningful situations.

I first identify the student's current proficiency level, learning objectives, strengths, and areas for improvement. I then adapt the lesson content, activities, pace, and level of challenge accordingly.

My lessons generally combine explicit language instruction with guided and independent practice. I use grammar and vocabulary as tools for communication rather than isolated topics, giving students opportunities to apply new language through conversations, role-plays, problem-solving activities, discussions, writing tasks, and real-life situations.

I place particular importance on speaking confidence and fluency. Students are encouraged to participate actively, take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them in a supportive environment. I provide constructive feedback while helping learners become increasingly independent in monitoring and improving their own performance.

Assessment is also an important part of my methodology. I use ongoing observation, formative assessment, and structured evaluation to monitor progress and identify specific areas that need reinforcement. When appropriate, I use CEFR-based competencies and performance criteria to provide students with clear and measurable learning goals.

Ultimately, my objective is not simply to teach students English, but to help them become confident, independent, and effective English users in academic, professional, and everyday situations.

Teaching philosophy: We build up confidence.
