Hey / Üdv / Hola !
I'm Márton — Math & Programming Tutor in Mexico City. I'm originally from Budapest, Hungary.
**** MATHEMATICS ****
I'm the author of MATHerialism, a math problem collection, and the developer of EduForge — an AI-powered platform that generates educational materials for teachers.
I've tutored students aged 8–17 in both mathematics and programming, and my approach is anything but ordinary.
Topics I cover:
Arithmetic
Algebra I & II
Geometry
Combinatorics
Probability & Statistics
Trigonometry
Pre-Calculus / Calculus (intro level)
Number Theory (basics)
Word problems & logical reasoning
*IMPORTANT: In my lessons, students don't encounter dry formulas and abstract textbook problems. Instead, every concept is introduced through short, engaging real-life stories — situations with real stakes, real context, and real meaning. Math stops being something that happens on paper and starts being something that happens in the world.
Most students feel the difference after just one lesson.
Here's a quick example (picked from my textbook - without illustrations) of what I mean:
"The year is 1812. Napoleon Bonaparte is preparing to attack Russia. For this operation, he manages to recruit new troops from France. The freshly recruited units need to be armed and supplied with sufficient ammunition.
You are tasked with ensuring the ammunition supply. Out of the troops, there are 90 000 infantry soldiers cavalry, and 1 000 artillerymen (cannon).
- The infantry soldiers will be equipped with the standard Charleville M1777 Revolutionnaire musket, which uses 16,51 mm lead bullets.
- The cavalry's firearm is an An IX flintlock cavalry pistol, which uses 13,22 mm lead bullets. For the cannons, they used 11,5 cm diameter iron cannonballs.
- Each musket-bearing infantryman carries 30 rounds.
- Each cavalryman carries 20 rounds for their pistol.
- On average, 100 cannonballs are provided per cannon.
Calculate how many kilograms of lead and iron are needed to manufacture enough ammunition for all units.
*Lead mass density: 11 340 kg/m³
*Iron mass density: 7 874 kg/m³
"
Note: I can teach both, metric and imperial system too. I can also adapt to your specific school educational system and curriculum. We can also target specific exams, including the SAT, AP, IB (MYP & Diploma), IGCSE, and the COMIPEMS entrance exam.
**** PROGRAMMING ****
I am 11+ years of experience with programming. I am familiar with many programming languages like JAVA, Python, Perl, PHP, Javascript, MySQL, etc (For kids: Scratch). Also these days I use AI coding tools like Claude code at an expert level.
- I can give customised private lessons based on your needs and goals (improve logical skills, prepare for university)
- I can give a course / training for your company in programming (beginner to senior level) or specific practices (Agile, Kanban, CI/CD, TDD, BDD, DDD, System design, leadership skills). I can teach developers how to use AI tools efficiently to boost their productivity 5-10x times.
